Telewatt : an innovative way to recharge EVs with public lighting


During CESA congress, at the energy management round table, the french agency for energy (Ademe) will present R&D projects on charging infrastructure.
One of them is called Telewatt project. It's one of the most innovative, because the puropose is to offer juice coming from the public lighting. It's an answer to the difficulty to build charging stations in the streets. Located in the south of France, in Aix-en-Provence, this project is led by Citelum company. The project is based on a global information system, as well as plug & play plugs (with IP identification to allow acess to users) and a smartphone application.
The Telewatt project, and six others, will be presented by Patrick Coroller from Ademe in a keynote speech.

GDPR is now applicable

Since last friday, the General Data Protrection Reglulation (GDPR) is in force. Complaints have been filed against Facebook, Google, Instagram and WhatsApp within hours of the new GDPR data protection law taking effect. CESA2018 in December will therefore have a session on data protection and security.  French police will explain he threats of connectivity and data processing in mobility, then the French Data Protection Agency (CNIL) will explain the new GDPR and a lawyer will explain, how to apply it in practice, how to cope with the compliance requirements and how to benefit from it to develop new products.

Inside the BMW Vision Future Luxury concept

At Auto China 2014, in Beijing, BMW has univeiled a concept car that delivers a long-term outlook on the perception of modern luxury for the german brand. New technologies include laser front lights and OLED rear lights. There is a new head up display too. It augments the driver’s view of the real world by projecting information directly in the driver’s line of sight onto the road.

CESA 2014 video : the congress seen by a US consultant

He was one of the speakers in the first round table of the congress, dedicated to worldwide market. Richard Bishop is Principal at Bishop Consulting and one of the top experts in the US, in the field of autonomous vehicles. Involved in many working groups, Mr Bishop took time to meet people at the congress and gave us an interview. He's impressed by what's going on in Europe to bring those cars to the market.
